• Methodology behind Glisten Salon

When I made the choice to start a salon, my first thought was “where?”  I looked at buying an existing salon and I also looked for venues to start from scratch.  In the end I chose to put the salon in my own home because I knew that would enable me to affordably create the relaxing and elegant atmosphere I wanted for my clients.   Since I love things that shine and glimmer it was only natural for me to name the space “Glisten Salon“.

• Not Your Average Salon

Just a warning, this isn’t your typical “home salon” where you walk though a hallway and down into the basement or backyard.  Glisten Salon is the first floor of my home; the salon actually exists the moment you step foot in the front door!

• Affordable Elegance

Glisten Salon has an Urban Arts Feel with a touch of Elegance, Privacy and Sophistication.   Many of the furnishings are antiques and/or repurposed objects.  The floors are painted a rich chocolate brown and the walls are a soothing beige accented with vanilla trim.  The stations are simple yet elegant with 6 foot mirrors and crystal chandeliers.  There is also a Small Boutique and Gallery filled with art work and local handmade gifts such as soap, candles, oils, lotions and bags.

I use the  industry’s leading products and color lines and because my over head is lower than most salons I am able to keep prices lower and pass the savings on to my clients.

• I Have Amazing Clients

Glisten Salon is client and relationship oriented.  The most important aspect of the salon’s  success is client satisfaction.   My commitment is to provide people with an elegant and relaxing atmosphere in a private setting with affordable prices.

When you come in for a haircut, color or texture service you are sure to enjoy a gratis beverage.
